Serving the Military Community
Second Chance offers treatment for co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders in Rockville and Potomac, Maryland. We accept Tricare insurance and do not charge any active duty or veteran soldier who has no means of payment. Since we opened in 2018, we have been committed to helping members of the military community in need. We look forward to serving more veterans and their families.
Second Chance has two primary objectives: first, to be accessible. We further this goal by accepting commercial insurances as well as Medicaid, and granting scholarships. Accepting Tricare will only enhance our ability to reach those needing treatment. Second, we provide highly individualized care. We do this by setting a cap on the number of patients that can attend each group per day and by providing individual treatment in conjunction with group treatment.
Second Chance is an Intensive Outpatient and Outpatient facility. We also provides Medication Assisted Treatment, including Vivitrol, Suboxone, and Antabuse. In addition to this, Second Chance offers DUI Education classes. We also offer treatment in Spanish. Finally, Second Chance provides free support to family members of individuals with addiction -- your loved one need not be in our program to receive this free service.
