Kala has 20 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner, assessing patients' medical, disease, physical, and diagnostic information, and developing treatment plans based on the highest scientific and professional standards of care. Kala has worked in a variety of clinical and medical settings, including in addiction facilities. Kala has worked as a nurse practitioner at the World Bank/IMF, Adventist Hospital, and the Maryland Treatment Center, helping patients suffering from drug and alcohol addiction. In addition, Kala owns and operates a first-aid clinic in Potomac, Maryland, where she has been providing emergency services, tests, and evaluations for Potomac residents, particularly local students. Kala has taught and supervised nurse practitioner students in Maryland. She currently is pursuing her doctorate in healthcare administration.
