Jerome received his Bachelor’s in Nursing from Frostburg State University, and his Master’s degree from Walden University’s psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner program.  He previously worked as a psychiatric nurse and team leader at the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene's Forensic Psychiatric Hospital.  In the private sector, he worked in home health and hospice. Some of his responsibilities in this role included overseeing and providing direct care to adolescents and adults institutionalized with various mental disorders, coordinating the activities of the unit, staff management, crisis intervention, formulation of care plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary team members.

He has committed his professional career to supporting and integrating a holistic, relationship-building approach to care delivery. An approach that meets individuals at difficult points in their lives and guides them toward well-being. In his current clinical role, Jerome utilizes in-depth evaluations, interpretations, diagnoses, collaboration, and various treatment strategies to help individuals across the continuum obtain optimal well-being.
