Biography
Larry is a distinguished, highly experienced addictions counselor who has led clinical programs in Montgomery County and mentored an entire generation of clinicians now working in the field. Larry helped people who have, or been impacted by, addictions and/or mental health disorders for over 30 years, in Maryland and throughout the Washington, DC area. He has committed his professional career to helping people overcome the often times devastating effects of drugs and alcohol, or co-occurring disorders. He has provided services on several different levels, including therapist, supervisor, and manager. For example, for 14 years, he managed the Outpatient Addiction Services program in Montgomery County. He also brings to Second Chance valuable experience from the frontlines, having worked at Suburban Hospital (part of the Johns Hopkins University Health Systems), and from the private sector, having worked at Kaiser Permanente. Larry obtained his bachelor's and master's degrees from the Virginia Commonwealth University.
On recovery
