OUR PHILOSOPHY

Second Chance Addiction Care is guided by two primary principles:

maximizing individualized attention by treating a small number of patients, and

increasing accessibility to treatment by accepting insurance and offering free treatment for veterans, law enforcement, and first-responders.

Our Difference

Clinical Experience

Our professional staff has decades of hands-on clinical and research experience.  The director of our family support services, for example, has been a pioneer in the addictions field in Maryland for over thirty years.

Approach

Our services are predicated on a holistic, three-pillar approach to helping each patient.

Small Community

We intentionally treat a small number of patients to have an optimal patient to counselor ratio in order to maximize the quality of care provided to each patient.

Diverse Experience

We have experience treating adults, adolescents, seniors, and families; patients with related conditions, such as depression, anxiety, and trauma; and patients from immigrant communities.

We've Been There

Our team includes individuals in active recovery, and who are now dedicated to helping others achieve healthy, productive lives.  We also have a trained peer on staff.

Flexibility

We hold sessions in the evening to accommodate students and working professionals; and online sessions for those in Maryland who are unable to attend treatment in person.

Affordability

We are proud to accept insurance from several major health insurance carriers, and from government medical assistance programs. We also offer discounts and scholarships to first-responders and members of the military.

Community Engagement

We work with the Montgomery County Adult Drug Court, support the Sober Ride program, and offer free help to veterans, law enforcement, and first-responders.

Accessible Location

Second Chance Addiction Care's confidential and comfortable office is located conveniently in Montgomery County, Maryland, near I-495 and I-270.

OUR APPROACH

Treatment

Our services are based on proven, evidence-based methods of effective cognitive and medical treatment.

Support

Patients are not alone.  Patients join a community of individuals who are on the road to recovery.  Through treatment, patients develop a support network that will help ensure their long-term success in recovery.

Education

Our professional staff aims to help patients understand the nature of addiction and thereby seeks to empower patients throughout the recovery process.
